A roof problem rarely waits for a convenient time. Tiles come off in a storm, a leak shows through a bedroom ceiling in the middle of the night, or a chimney starts shedding mortar onto the drive. When that happens you need someone who will pick up the phone and come out.
We run a 24-hour emergency call-out across Finchampstead, Wokingham, Reading and the surrounding areas. The first job is to make the roof safe and stop the water getting in: refitting slipped tiles or slates, sheeting over a damaged section, clearing a blocked outlet or sealing a failed flashing. Once the house is dry we look at what caused it and give you a written estimate for the permanent repair.
If the damage is storm related and you are claiming on your buildings insurance, we can carry out the work as insurance work and provide the photos and written report your insurer will ask for.

What counts as an emergency?
Anything letting water into the house or putting people at risk: storm damage, a sudden leak, slipped or fallen tiles, a loose chimney pot or ridge. If you are not sure, ring and describe it and we will tell you honestly whether it can wait for a normal visit.
Can you fix it properly on the first visit?
Often, if it is a few slipped tiles or a failed flashing. Bigger damage gets made safe and watertight first, then we price the full repair and come back to do it properly.
Will you help with an insurance claim?
Yes. We photograph the damage, write up what we found and what it needs, and carry out the repair as insurance work.
