When a re-roof makes sense
Every roof reaches the end of its life eventually. Concrete tiles go porous, nails rust through and the felt underneath perishes, and the repairs start adding up. Many of the 1960s and 1970s houses across this part of Hampshire are at that point now. If you are weighing up another repair against a new roof, we will look at the whole roof and give you a straight answer and a price for both.
What a new roof includes
We strip the old covering, check and repair the timbers, fit breathable membrane and new battens, and re-cover in concrete or clay tile or natural slate to suit the house and your budget. New lead at the chimneys and abutments, dry or mortar ridges and verges, and new fascias and guttering if they need it. We arrange the scaffold and the skip, keep the house watertight every night, and most houses take one to two weeks.
